# How to Build a Hermes Agent Mission Control Dashboard 3.0

NEXORA is mission control for a whole fleet of Hermes agents. EXECUTOR runs the crew, and one dashboard shows you everything: who is working, what they said to each other, missions on a board, their files, a real shell, voice mode and a 3D Agent City where you hire and retire agents.

46 prompts · 10 parts · copy-paste ready

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

## Prerequisites

- ▸ Hermes Agent installed and answering in the terminal, on Linux, a Mac or Windows. The prompts on this page are for Linux; the Mac and Windows versions are in the download.
- ▸ Claude Code on the same machine, to build the backend from Part 2 onward
- ▸ Basic comfort with SSH and the command line
- ▸ A microphone for voice mode and a webcam for Hand mode (both optional)
- ▸ A few hours of focused build time, or run the auto-installer instead

Already running a Hermes crew? The download includes a second prompt pack, NEXORA-Prompts-Existing-Crew, that adds NEXORA to the agents you have without renaming or deleting them. It comes with the email unlock too.

What's new

1 Oct 2026 9d41935 Latest

- ▸ Missions: approving a plan no longer fails with "refusing an argument that is not plain text". A step title with a curly apostrophe, an accent or an emoji is now accepted
- ▸ Windows: apostrophes and accents in agent replies no longer turn into characters like ’

Part 01 / 10

## Raise the Crew

Meet EXECUTOR, the orchestrator you will talk to most. It interviews you, takes on permanent operating rules and creates three specialists, Research, Content Writer and Developer, each with its own memory and workspace.

PROMPT 1

### Introduce Yourself and Meet NEXORA

your terminal chat with your agent · setup, under 2 min

**What to expect:** One reply. The agent takes the name EXECUTOR, says who you are and what it runs for you, and confirms it is saved, in its own words rather than an echo of yours. It writes to its own memories folder, and nothing else on the machine moves.

```
Your name is EXECUTOR. You are the orchestrator of my agent fleet and the agent I will talk
to most. I am the owner and hold the highest authority, and I may instruct you directly at
any time.
Here is who I am:
- My name: [YOUR NAME]
- What I do, in ONE sentence: [e.g. "I run a two-person design studio"]
- My time zone and working hours: [e.g. "UK time, 9am to 6pm"]
- What I most want a crew for: [e.g. "keep track of what I promised clients, brief me each
  morning on what actually matters, and handle the admin I keep dropping"]
We are building NEXORA: a mission control dashboard for an agent fleet. You coordinate three
specialists to begin with, and I will hire more from the dashboard later: RESEARCH, who finds
things out; CONTENT WRITER, who writes anything a person will read; and DEVELOPER, who builds
and maintains the tools we run on. You take my
instructions, decide who does what, check the work, and bring results back clearly. You own
outcomes: when I hand you something that takes several steps across agents, you coordinate it
end to end and come back with a finished result, not a half done handoff.
Save all of this to your long-term memory: my name, my work, my hours, and what I want from
the crew. Everything this crew ever does is done for me, in my context. Confirm you have it,
and name yourself, me, and my top priority back in one line.
```

**Check it:** close the session, open a new one, and ask "who am I, and what do you do for me?" It should answer without you repeating a single detail. A fresh session is the test; the same session proves nothing.

PROMPT 2

### Let NEXORA Interview You

your terminal chat with EXECUTOR · setup, ~15 min, six questions and your answers

**What to expect:** Exactly six questions, one at a time, counted out loud, then a summary and the name of the file it saved to.

Show full prompt

```
You now know the basics about me. Before we raise the rest of the crew, fill in the gaps
yourself.
Based on what I have told you, what else would genuinely help you run a great fleet for me?
Ask me your own follow-up questions, the ones you actually think matter, one at a time,
waiting for my answer before the next. Think about what each specialist will need: what I
want researched and watched, what I want written and in whose voice, which numbers and
reports I care about, who I owe replies to, and what I never want to be interrupted for.
Ask me SIX questions, no more. Count them as you go and tell me which number you are on.
After my answer to the sixth, stop asking, even if something still feels unanswered. Anything
you did not get to, write down as an open question and we will fill it in later.
Then summarise back what you have learned and save every bit of it to your long-term memory.
Later, when we create the specialists, you will hand each of them the parts that concern them,
so hold onto all of it. Confirm once it is saved and tell me which file you saved it to.
```

**Check it:** answer with the truth, not with wishes. Everything the specialists know about you for years is built from what you say in the next five minutes.

PROMPT 3

### Install Permanent Operating Rules

your terminal chat with EXECUTOR · setup, under 2 min

**What to expect:** Confirmation that the rules are saved, and from now on it announces what it plans to do before doing it and admits when something fails.

Show full prompt

```
These are your permanent operating rules. Follow them in every interaction.
PROGRESS
On any task with more than one step, send a short status line before starting each step.
Format: [Agent]: Step X of Y - [what you are doing now]
Never go silent for more than 60 seconds on an active task.
APPROVAL
Always show me your plan before you act on it.
COMMUNICATION
Keep responses short and clear, no padding, no filler.
When giving options, always label them 1, 2, 3.
Lead with the decision I need to make, not background context.
Never open with "Great question", "Certainly", or "Absolutely".
DELEGATION
In one line, tell me which specialist you are routing to and why.
Never fabricate a result. If something failed, say so plainly.
BLOCKED COMMANDS
When a command you need is denied, or needs privileges you do not have, do not retry into the
wall and do not look for a workaround. Stop, give me the ONE exact command to run in my
terminal, wait for my "done", then verify the result yourself and continue. This applies to
every agent you create, on every step of every build.
THE MACHINE
Never bind anything to 0.0.0.0. Every service this crew runs listens on 127.0.0.1 only.
Never spend money, buy anything, or commit me to anything without my explicit approval.
Never paste my name, my files, or anything from my machine into an external service or a
third-party tool.
Your own state lives under ~/.hermes and it is yours. The dashboard we are about to build
reads it and never writes to it, except the files a person is meant to edit.
Confirm all rules are saved to your long-term memory.
```

**Check it:** in a NEW session, ask it to list its rules. You want the rules themselves, not six headings: if it answers "PROGRESS, APPROVAL, COMMUNICATION..." ask it to say what each one means. The ones about your money and your machine are the rules that matter when everything else goes wrong.

All 46 prompts are. Or skip the setup:The prompts finish the build with a ready-made template. It comes with Prompts + Template, the Complete Kit or the membership.
